LAAASSSSSSSTT EMAIL!!!! Jan. 1st, 2013

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTT  EMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

            Dear Hamblin Famliy,
I am losing my mind right about now but I just want to say this. I AM SUPER UBER TRUNKY RIGHT NOW! UGH! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL AGAIN! AGH! In other news:
*The Baptism went great! I was able to perform the baptism in one shot and she was confirmed the following Sunday in Sacrament Meeting!
*I have finished my back packs and other cool gear and T-Shirts that I can't wait to show you all when I get back!
*I have a farewell party at the house of Sister Aquino in one hour so this email may be a tad bit short....suck it up! I'll see you in like 3 days or something like that!
*No I am not counting the days. My companion does that for me!

   Now...... on with the letters!

       Dear Mommy,
I miss you and I'm bummed that you can't be there when I get back but I'll be there when you get back if you know what I mean! Baptism went great like I said. Last baptism as a full time missionary. But hey I have to go down with my guns blazing right? I am trying so hard Mom but it seems like Hells jaws are gaping open the mouth wide after me right now. I am being hit with temptations I didn't even plan for. Ok, being trunky to go home and see my family was something we all saw coming. But the computer shop we are at is owned by Sister Aquino's son and he is offering to give me free games to download and play and I have to say no. NO NO NO! We'll talk when I get back but I am getting his from all sides right now and doing my best to stay obedient to the end. I have served an honorable mission. I have tried my hardest to be an example to my siblings. I have fulfilled my calling as a District Leader, and then as Zone Leader, and I have served with all my might mind and strength. I can honestly say so President Carlos that I have no regrets on my mission. I do not regret a single day. And if I did I have repented and learned from those days. I have seen all types of missionaries, Leader, and investigators at varying degrees of spirituality and worthiness. I have seen pain I could not even fathom because of people who have, “chose poorly”(Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade).  I am very grateful that I was born when I was born in the place I was born to goodly parents who love the Lord. Thank you, Mom. I'm sorry about all the times I complained over stupid things like trying on ridiculous amounts of blue jeans and dress pants. I'm sorry for whining about taking out the garbage or putting the dishes in a dish washer and most shameful of all....I am sorry for complaining about folding the cloths and delivering them to peoples bedrooms! (I can't believe how ungrateful and stupid I was. Please forgive me for my ignorance.) You didn't deserve that. You shouldn't of had to put up with all that. I'm sorry Mom. Please forgive me.
The Elder Hamblin you will find when you come home may be a little different than the one you saw through the check point at the Airport. He will be skinnier, sexier, jk and more grateful for all you do for us! Gosh, how time flies and what it does to you. I love you Mom. See you soon! Elder Hamblin

       Dear Devree,
I hope you liked your letter. I spent some good quality time on it. I kinda hope that not the whole family didn't read it, cause it was really just meant for you. It's a shame it came so darn late. I probably won't get Manny’s letter before I go home. They might just have to forward it to me. Bummer! Oh well. That’s life. Hey I got some stuff to tell you when I call you from the cell phone when I touch down in Reno. What a bummer my own flesh in blood. My best pal Devrs is going to leave me hanging at the airport. All because she has to go to a family reunion/ play time and then get needles shoved into her at a hospital she called home for 9 months! What’s with all of that! Gosh! Well you are going to have to make it up to me somehow. I'm going to have to rot my eyeballs out with TV/movies/games till you get back! I could enjoy that!
Devs, know that i miss you and that you stink like old cheese for not being there for me when I get off the Airplane, but I forgive you! Cause that’s how I roll. I love and miss you and can't wait to hear your voice. I love you! Elder Hamblin

         Dear Shay,
K so listen up stink pot! You and Dad are being held personally responsible for all Trunkiness from here on out. I was laughing my head off when I read Dad's letter and you as well! "Kidlat"   You know what I think of you two......   Ya, That's Tae! Kainin mo siya!
Hey, there is much to do when I get back! I need you to show me.....EVERYTHING! And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING! I love you Shay and I don't know how much longer I have at the internet shop I'm at so I am going to finish things up real quick! I love you Take care! Hold the fort down for me till I get back alright. And keep manin it with your frozen burritos! Love, Elder Hamblin

        Dear Danie Boy,
Ned Declassified School Survival Guide is pretty cool! I remember watching that back in the day. I like the episode where they play dodge ball and Cookie (the nerdy one) become the Darth Vader lord of Dodge ball. You should find that episode and show it to me when I get back!
Hey what do you say to buying some dish washing soap and spraying it all over the trampoline and wrestling in it     I looooooooooooooove ya! And I MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSS YA! Time flies by when your busy or busy having fun! I can't wait to see you all again! LOVE Elder Hambz!

       Dear Pops,
YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUNKY! YOU HAVE REACHED THE LEVEL OF UBER TRUNKINESS! This is a side of Dad I have never seen before! You’re so trunky I can feel the trunky vibes through the computer! I was laughing so hard at your letter! I miss you all soooooo much! Gosh, when you said Men in Black 3 I flipped out. I had totally forgotten about that! HA HA! :D It will all come in due time. I miss you all so much. Any second now they will be coming to pull me into the house for my farewell.
OK, Here’s the scoop with Sister Aquino:
Last night we had a dinner appointment with Sister Aquino. She is a kind lady of the ward, the Relief Society President I think. She wanted to know what my phone number was and boasted that their phone could call directly to the Philippines. I was impressed but didn't believe her really so I decided to put it to the test. I told her the number of our home phone and she plugged it right in. To my surprise she said it was ringing! Then I heard your voice on the other side I almost pooped my pants! HA! It actually worked! She chatted to you while the party was going on, (Its always a party at that house!) and then she hung up. Let me remind you I am still a missionary papa. That call was breaking the rules and if I talked to you on the other line it would be harmless but it still would have been breaking the rules. I don't like breaking the rules so I decided to not take the phone when she handed it to me. Sorry Dad, but on the bright side you did get to meet Sister Aquino and that is cool. Now they can call us early in the morning when I get back. Don't worry I'll take all those calls if they come. I also let them know about the time change as well. So don't worry it won't be like every day. Just every now and then they like to call the missionaries that have stayed in Roxas. All the members here ROCK! I especially love the Aquino family for many reasons but will talk about that in the future.
Know that I am uber excited to see you all and eat an AMERICAN HAMBURGER and poop it all out in under 24 hours! I love you all and can't wait to try to do all that you have planned for us to do and not fall off my spiritual high!
Thanks for being the best cheering squad a missionary could ask for! You all have supported me every step of the way. Through the good the bad the ugly and the just plain evil! You have been with me laughed with me cried with me every step of the way. Thank you for the never ending support and love that you continually give me each day in everything that I do. You are the best family for me. Thanks for loving me for who I am. Thanks for praying for all my Investigators. Thanks for everything!!! LOVE,        ELDER HAMBZ
                                           PHILIPPINES CAUAYAN MISSION

P.S. Please pray for Sister Trinidad to stay strong and keep on keeping on.
Please pray for Robin to endure to the end and serve a faithful mission in the future.

Please pray for Brother Torrez that he will not be shy and that he will come for church.
Please pray for The Manokdok family and Angel Famliy and the Labougin famliy and the Manzano/Catubig/Revilla Family to just come back to church and live the gospel and feel its light in their lives again.
and please don't forget to pray for Elder Ballentos and his new companion to be able to have the strength and courage and vitality to do all that is being asked of them and more as they fulfill their callings as Zone Leaders here in Roxas. Please pray that they will be blessed with the knowledge and the words in the exact moment that they need them. And please pray that Elder Ballentos won't be to nervous to receive a new companion and that his new companion will be happy and an amazing match for him!

Sorry, its kind of a lot but you can do it. I love you all! Please Pray for these people they need your prayers! I love them very much and I want to see them succeed in life! They were my family you all were far away. Please help them. Thank you!!! Elder Hamblin

January 13th, 2013

Dear Hamblin Family,
You are all trunky! I refuse to be trunky! I can be trunky
when I'M DEAD. I don't have TIME to be trunky! Everything is just
going by so fast! I have been talking with people in my batch. Looks
like BYUI is the place to be my friends! I just have to take the SAT
and ACT first. I think that would be a good thing to study and
schedule for BEFORE the awesome Easter Break thing!  Just thinking out
loud guys. Tell me what you think. I need to look into times and
places and get something set up so I can take the study hard take the
test get a good grade and get accepted already so I will b good to go!
I am soooooo excited to see you all there soon! There is a lot to do
before I go home! But it’s alright, we're just gonna ride it out!!! I
will see you all....*sniff*.....eventually when I get back. I can't
believe I wait for 2 years and my Mom my own mother and my only sister
don't care enough to show up at the airport! *sniff* *sniff* Just
Kidding. You are both going to definitely love to see me when You get
home. I'll just beat you home! HA!
KAY:) about Sister Trinidad. She had her Baptismal
Interview last Saturday right before and Area Broadcast for all the
Philippines and good news...she passed! *sigh* BUT now we have one
baptism to preform my last Saturday here in the Philippines which
makes things a little hectic indeed! Busy is better than not busy
right now. If I wasn't busy I would be loads more trunky right now. I
am currently in the process of finishing strong and not being a idiot
like some of  the RM's I've seen here and slacking off my last week
cause I going home. The thought is finally sinking in. I am definitely
going home. There is no getting around it. It is going to happen. No
none of the less I will do my best to the bitter end until President
Carlos tells me to get out! I am loving this last week even though
every day is like I'm running around with my head chopped off!
Anyways, can't wait to see you all! Be safe and make good
choices! Love ya!! Now for your many letters!
    Dear Dane,
Sounds like you are enjoying yourself! Sounds like school
is a challenge but fun at the same time for you! Just as it should be.
I always remembered Middle School as the beginning being super hard
and lonely and then the end triumphant and going on to High School
with the world as your oyster! Enjoy free education while you can
Dane. College isn't free and  you will pay dearly for it! Just
remember that you have to have good friends like Madsen that will help
you choose the right and help you be better than who you are. If your
friends don't respect your rules and your beliefs than they're not
true friends and you should ditch'em! Just some Noble advice for ya
little bro. I am the eldest (panganay) and you are the youngest
(bunso) so From the Panganay to the Bunso... ingat sa mga kaibigan mo!
Malaking influence sila sa ugali mo at lahat ng decisions mo! I bet
your brain is bleeding isn't it? That’s alright! That’s normal for
people who hear Tagalog for the first time! I love ya Dane! Love Mahal
kita!!!! Elder Hamblin!!!

    Dear Shay,
Good old Shay. There is much to do when we have the Bachelor
party when I get back. Video Games, Movies, Quads, and Foods! I don't
know what to do first! Sorry Shay, it’s hard to focus right now. Let me
explain. I am currently in the computer shop of a Less Active brother
right now. His wife is one of our investigators. I am trying really
hard to focus on the screen right now because the sister of the less
active brother is sitting right behind me and she is kinda cute. You
could say she’s one of the girls I crush on here in ROXAS because there
are A LOT of cute sisters here in Roxas! Ok she left WHEWWWW! Gosh I
told Elder Ballentos that I thinks she's cute and ever since then he's
been trying to pair us up at any moment in very uncomfortable
situations! I don't know. He's a turd sometimes! ANYWAYS!!! Trying
soooo hard not to be trunky!!!! I will be home before you know it Shay
and we are gonna "party everyday pa pa pa party every day! Cause I got
a feeling...that tonight's gonna be a good night!" Can't wait dude and
I can't wait to see you again! Love Elder Hamblin

    Dear Devree,
Fill up my cup, moseltoph! You are going to love it when you
come home and are going to hate it when you have to go again and then
love it when you come back again. I've got a lot more tests to take
for school and stuff. If you can talk around and get some good ideas
and material to study to get me ready for the SAT or ACT that would be
fantastic! I need some books and some guides to study to help me get
ready to go! Just talk to your friends and see what they did and give
me some tips when I get home. I want to get a nice high score and get
into BYUI no problem! I know I can I just am thinking ahead you know?
So any help would be nice!
SO lets see your movie was.... The Sand Lot. My favorite line
is "FOREVER FOREVER FOREVER!!!"
        "Jason I want Christmas."
"Well maybe I could talk to some people sweety and.."
        "Jason, now!" or
"YOUR RIGHT! SHE HATES YOU! YOUR REALLY SCREWED UP YOU KNOW! I
HAD TO EAT A COLD RUBBER HOSPITAL TURKEY FOR THANKS GIVING!"
"I have to leave the country for a while"
" Then you have to go. YOU BETTER BE BACK FOR CHRISTMAS!!!"
.................... okay try that on for size!
Devs I miss you and can't wait to play this game in person! Love,
Elder Hamblin

      Dear Mom,
Your trunky but you like to think ahead and getting my room
was something essential that needed to happen! BUT you didn't need to
tell me about it! GOSH! I can't wait to have a real mattress and a
king size one at that! (Dad can take the credit for making me trunky
about the king size bed!) I'm just excited to see my family again!
It's a bummer you and Devree still have to go for  check ups at ST.
JUDES but I understand the reasoning! Just get home soon ok? I miss
you and Devree A LOT! I can't wait to see you both when I get back!
Thanks for getting my room all set up! You are the best Mom. I'm sorry
Dad craps up things. I may be a little like him. I guess I'm just more
organized with my "crap" ya know? I can't wait till I go to College ya
know? I have friends here in the mission that all want to be my room
maties when I grow up and go to BYUI! I am excited to learn and get a
good job but most of all to find a girl who will put up with me for
all time and eternity! It’s all a process ya know! Step by step. But
before that We are all going to party hardy and you will probably have
to make us all go to bed so that the boys will wake up for seminary
still! Heck, I'll probably be the one giving them a ride! HA! I love
you mom take care and don't forget I love you and I guess I can wait
an extra 6 days to see you! (according to Devree!) LOVE YOU
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH! LOVE, ELDER HAMBLIN

      Dear DAD,
They are playing Left For Dead 2 right now on both my left
and my right side and I am about to join them.......listening to the
good angel on my right shoulder saying, "DON'T DO IT!" and then the
Devil on my right shoulder saying, "It's okay, you go home in what 10
days right? It's doesn't make a difference!" I am battling with my
inner soul right now! I choose not to join them. I still have to be
able to listen to the spirit later on today. The Lord needs all my
heart, might, mind and soul! Not 3/4ths! I am always battling with my
inner soul. It's rough but I am trying hard. I find comfort in the
fact that I am not losing anything by not giving into temptation. It
will all be there for me when I get back. SO until then.....I will
painfully......wait.......till......I....get home! AGHHH! Why is this
so hard! I'm just going to listen to some music on LDS.org or
something and not look at their screens. These are members mind you
that are playing on both of my sides. Both don't care if I join in on
their game so it’s hard.
ANYWAYS, we had an awesome activity with the Single Adults
and the missionaries the other day. We played Volleyball and such
which was fun and ate at Chickboys which was as usual rice and roasted
chicken. That's always fun with the zone and all! Sadly 3 members of
the zone used and abused their free agency and without mine or
President Carlos' permission decided to go to a far area Ilagan to do
whatever they are currently doing right now. They didn't come to the
activity we planned for them and made their own. I said 3 right. 3
because they dropped off one of their 4 elders with us at the activity
and didn't even say hi! They just left automatically to Ilagan. Nice.
Well forget them. They missed out on the fun. I only know they are in
Ilagan because Elder James received a text from someone there early
while he was here at the computer shop. I can't say that I'm not
surprised ya know. Cause I know their personalities and I know why
they are doing what they are doing and why they have no respect for
their leaders. That's the bad news for this week pops.
BUT, (and there is always a big butt) I REFUSE to have a
horrible last week. They probably think it’s my last week and I won't
say anything and they're right. I won't....I'll let my companion do it
because he needs the experience! Ya and President Carlos will want to
know about this! We'll talk about it later!
My last week over all has really been absolutely marvelous!
Couldn't ask for more! I am going to probably use the extra 50 dollars
to by a carry on suit case so I can get everything HOME! I can't wait
to get my Career workshop done and out of the way as well. Anyways,
can't wait to see you but not enough to stop doing missionary work!
LOVE,
                    ELDER HAMBLIN
  PHILIPPINES CAUAYAN MISSION
P.S. Sorry! We came straight from Volleyball and I didn't bring my
camera so I will just email pictures next time? You know what? You can
just wait! But I still love ya! LOVE ELDER HAMBZ!

January 6, 2013

         Dear Trunky Family,
I am excited to hear from you all and and loving the Philippines at the same time. I am very excited for the bachelor party when I get back to the good old United States! I'm almost brought to tears thinking about a 1/2lb burger and a Strawberry Shake from Fudderukers! It's gonna be a party indeed.
I am making an executive decision and not bringing back the quilt I brought here. Its  ridiculously heavy. I just washed it all by hand earlier and realized I probably don't have room for it in my luggage. We'll see... That and I am going to leave the joke book with Elder Ballentos cause he LOVES the potty humor. If you want a preview of what I read, I won't write the horrible things I found in that book in an email. It was gross. We'll just let Elder Ballentos have at it. He enjoys the jokes more than me anyways. Sorry Devs. Your Humor beats Dirty Tagalog jokes any day of the week!
The work is going great and Me and Elder Ballentos are tearing it up my last cycle. I am going to leave it all on the table and then when my time is done and President Carlos kicks me out I will head on home and know I have done well and will not have any regrets and be able to know the mission will be in good hands. The loose ends I leave will be finished with the new breed of missionaries coming in and that is fine with me. I guess my time is through and I just need to go home and party. Enough said..... Now for you guys!

Dear Devree,
My movie was the Disney version of Robin Hood but I could think of nothing else to write so ya I can see why It was hard! Oh well, I got yours! NO PROBLEM! It was Lady Hawk. I love that movie and the character Mouse. He is so interesting to me. I love the actor as well he plays the part beautifuly. I love America! It's movie's it's humor, its women, everything about it! Except the president. We could do without that problem. Anyways, I love and miss you Devrs and Understand that you are counting down the days. Don't worry I'll be home soon enough! OKAY, Here's my quoute:
"How bout a girl whose got a BRAIN. That always speaks her mind? NAH!"
Devree you are most definitely a girl whose got a brain! Thats why I thought of this quote. That and if you noticed. Alot of my quotes just come straight from the songs of the movies they're in. I can't think of anything else from the movies right about now. I am losing my mind as you well know. I am trying hard to finish strong Devree and to do my best. Just be there for me when I get back to help me adjust. I love you and can't wait till you facebook me from your Kindle Fire just cause! Love,  ELDER HAMBLINO

Dear Shay,
Sorry Mom and Dad have to be the kill joys but ya know eventually all good things have to come to an end ya know! Well, except like Eternal Life and Love and such. You can pretty munch enjoy that stuff for like....eternity bro! Anyways, How are you doing? School is gonna start soon if it hasn't already. Are you ready for that? It's a bummer that you have to be in school but it will make it so much more fun when you get back. We'll help you out with homework and then party hardy! I'll grow a beard and you can grow a mustache and the world will be ok again! How's that sound? I miss ya Shay. But don't worry, These next couple of weeks are going to fly by you'll see! I'll be home before you can say Portal 2! See you on the flip side! ELDER HAMBLINZ

Dear Dane,
Hey, I am glad that you all made it back safe and sound ya know! That would have been horrible if you didn't! I'm sorry you and shay have to still fight over the back seat. Why does it seem that in a car you always have to stretch out but you never have enough space? Am I right!!!! ANYWAYS, I miss ya Dane of course we are going to have oodles of fun when I get back. There will be food and music and games and lots and lots of time swimming if it's possible. Hopefully some sledding! I love you all and miss you. See ya soon!!! LOVE, Elder Hambz

Dear Mom,
I am seriously going to write the paragraphs now on BESMART.COM I am sorry I didn't last week. We're just always so darn busy at the computer shop with Presidents letter each week and all the other stuff we have to do. I promise I will jump right on that. The interview I have set with President Carlos for BYUI is at the same time I have my Exit interview so I won't waste his time. SO I will get that out of the way one week before I get out of here. I am just really busy, and am losing my MIND!
I have one more baptism on the horizon. Sister Trinidad. Set for the 19th of January. Pray for her that She'll be ready for the interview on the 12th. Your prayers and our fasts have been answered. She has made great progress in the Book of Mormon when Before she could barley manage to read the pamphlets before each lesson. She is some where near Chapter 9 in 1Nephi so that is some progress. Some of the members have expressed concerns that Sister Trinidad is only getting baptized because she thinks she will get money for the church. I am refusing to believe that on what I've seen. This member says she knows she's not ready because she is her next door neighbor. (This member has not sat in one lesson with us while we taught her. SO I refuse to take her comments seriously.) We are setting up her interview on the 12th the Saturday before so please pray for her that she will study hard remember everything and not get nervous in the interview, please. She needs it!
Mom, thanks for all the support and love you have shown me and my investigators. It means alot that you and the family pray for them. Thank you! LOve, ELder Hamblin

       Dear Dad,
You truly are the most trunky Dad in the whole universe. But I love you anyways! I know that it is going to be great! I get a ridiculously big smile on my face when I think about seeing you all when I come home.
Thank you so much for your little bit in the email. I needed to hear that. I can't wait to meet the NEW Uncle Ben! I have tried to create a good relationship with President Carlos. I don't think he hates me. Lets just say he is my good friend that I fear, love, and respect all the same time.
I have just recently been feeling the whole "NO REGRETS" thing. No Regrets does not mean you were perfect. It just means you were trying your hardest your whole mission to be perfect and you were really good at repenting. Some times I have asked myself while walking to appointments, "Can I really look President Carlos in the Eye's and tell him I have no regrets?" Can I? I think everyone as people they should've talked to or lessons you should have taught or things you should have said to a disobedient companion but you zipped your lips so he wouldn't hate you for a week. There are things I can't go back and change, but I can choose to do better each day and that way I have no regrets. I have overcome temptations and have taught the gospel in each of my areas. I have seen the fruits of my labors and have seen people's heart's change. I have served a great mission. I know that. I just have to get over the fact that I'm not superman and I can't do everything right. I just try to make everyone happy which is impossible apparently. I don't know how many time I have to learn that lesson!
What I am trying to say is I can't wait till I go home and have you my real Dad to love and care for me like you have all these years. The Dad who knows me inside and out and will never leave me down the creek without a paddle. Thanks Dad for the Advice. I have come to the conclusion that I need to love the Philippines while I can so you go ahead and be trunky and I will love you when I get home!
                          Love, Elder Hamblin

December 30th, 2012

We have me in the bukid in the mud.
And let us not forget the monkey on the fridge. He's chillin all over the house.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! DEAR HAMBLIN FAMILY,
I am very happy for you all! I understand that Christmas was an overwhelming success at the Hamblin House! I miss you all. Even if you're trunky! Ha :D
Things are doing aright. We kinda got flooded out of our house. I pretty much lost everything. We have been walking the streets begging for food. I am missing one of my fingers and two of my toes with a broken elbow. Elder Ballentos broke his spline. We are hungry and tired and trying to find a place to sleep each night which is rough.....
     JUST KIDDING!!!!
No we're doing fine! There was like little rain and things are going fine. I'm alive and well so is Elder Ballentos. The brute of that horrible storm passed through the southern part of the Philippines. Please pray for the people down south they need your prayers. I only see tid bits of news on members TV's but from what I can tell a large part of the Philippines is starving to death right now. The supply trucks are on the way though. Just pray for them please!
The work is doing great. Neither Tatay Torrez or Ranie came to Church today so please keep praying for them both. Please also pray for Sister Trinidad. She is hopefully our next baptism in January. Please pray that we can help her be ready for this life changing event. She still has some preparation to go! Bless her to feel the members love.
I have to be honest with you I am kinda trunky now. I have been evaluating the space in my luggage and what I should keep/leave/give to members. Can I give Devree's Philippino Joke Book away to my companion Elder Ballentos? He really likes the Bastos jokes Devs! If you don't mind. You just say the word though Devree and I will bring it back and translate the really dirty jokes for you! Whatever you want Devs. I don't mind saying no to him! He'll understand! The members here are like vultures. They just want everything I own! And ICE CREAM! They always tell me to buy them ICE CREAM! I really don't understand why I must spend ridiculous amounts of money for them. I usually don't. Anyways, that’s life for Elder Hamblin right now. Now for your emails:

        Dear Mom,
Christmas is always a blast when you're around. I can't wait to have the farewell party! I can't wait to see you all again. Is it really 3 weeks! It's just so close its not real! I don't know if I can get a package together that fast! Anyways, I would love to see the house all Christmas'd up and my Laptop under the Tree! There is a song on the Christmas CD Elder Bates left me that I sometimes sing when I am trunky. Its by Michale Buble and Its called, "I'll be Home for Christmas" you might know it! I miss you all! Can't wait to talk to you face to face. Hey, don't worry about me so much. The Lord protects his servants. Have a little Faith that we know what we're doing. We are well informed as to what we must do in a natural disaster. No interview yet with President Carlos. That will happen hopefully next Wed at one of the leadership meeting. We'll see......
I miss you all and wish you all a Happy New Year from the Future! Be good keep praying for the people try not to cry yourself to sleep at night thinking of me eating noodles for New Years Eve. (jk we're making adobo!)
                                          Love, Elder Hamblin

        Dear Devrs,
Your movie was Shanghai Noon! Gotta love that classic. I hope to not only see the new shows but also watch the classics as well! I just have a lot of junk to do when I get back. Good thing I'll be working out in the morning so I don't like get super fat again!
Sounds like  YOU got some awesome stuff for your Birthday! Hopefully I can figure out my new laptop and then I can face book you from inside the house! I can play Portal on it too! I'm just super excited if you can't tell! I wish you were going to be here when I get back but I guess a can wait a little more. (I have been waiting 2 years you know!) Ok, here's my movie,
"Well here in the animal kingdom we have our own version of the story..."
I'm sorry thats coming from the song and thats all I got right about now Devree. I am losing my mind right now! Don't worry I will be back to normal soon though! There is just so much to do today and we have to hurry cause we have LOCK DOWN at 6pm tonight so we're safe and not out with the drunk people at night. New Years is like a war zone here. Anyways I love ya and wish you the best! Love Big Bro Elder Hamblin

          Dear Shay,
You got to let me play with your I-touch when I get back! I can't wait to play whatever you want to play when I get back!
You know I have to get used to the cold again when I get back. It's gonna be a little rough. I have been adjusted to a tropical climate so I don't sweat like crazy in hot humid weather. I don't know. I think that I have adjusted and now I am going to have to adjust again. That and food. There is no doubt Shay that the first week of food without rice is going to clog up my digestive system or put it on hyper drive. I am going to have to visit the bathroom a bit when I get home! I love ya bro and I hope you are as excited as I am about me getting home and partying hard! I love ya and stay safe. Love Elder Hambz

       Dear Dane,
It's amazing how much you have grown. You have your own MP3 now and are into alternative rock and The All American Rejects! You are growing up WAY too fast! I won't even recognize you when I get back! You will be some crazy huge awkward monster of a brother that has a cracky voice and can express himself clearly now! That is just weird enough as it is! Well I am kinda in a rush today Dane. But if there is snow when I return, then there will most DEFINITELY be a snowball fight of EPIC PROPORTIONS! I miss ya Dane ya cutie pie and I can't wait to see you! LOVE, Elder Hamblin

         Dear Dad,
You are by far the most trunky of all the trunky Dads. 3 weeks left.....WHY'D YOU HAVE TO SAY THAT! BAH! I really don't know what is going to happen. I have been busy left and right. We have just been all over the place and I don't even have time to think straight! I have been secretly looking online like Amazon for a good pair of nice professional Head Phones for my Laptop so I can listen to all the colors of the wind and get into the game with my new PC. I am seriously trunky when it comes to stuff like that. I want to be a missionary still and I want to go home at the same time. You remember Dad when my hair was being pulled every which way those last months before entering the MTC when I broke up with my ex-girlfriend? It's like that but WORSE! Cause this isn't just a silly high school relationship this is my mission. I call these people family right now! It’s hard to leave it all. I don't know. That’s coming from my mixed up heart. Do with that what you like. I am just confused as to what my heart should feel right about now!
The investigators are not progressing very fast right now. We just have been kinda handicapped with all the parties going on right now with the Branches and Districts. A lot of stuff to do in a very little time! Well, I love you all and I wish you the best! I hope that you don't worry too much about me! I pray that you will all be safe almost every night! I love you and miss you all and will send pictures maybe! LOVE ELDER HAMBLIN
